A new box for the 20th birthday

EvE Online has turned 20 this year and for an MMORPG this is already a very old age and EvE has experienced a lot of improvements and expansions. This is now celebrated in part with this new box.

Already to the 10th anniversary a corresponding box was produced also at that time I could not say no.
The box contained a mystery code and items for Dust514 and Valkyrie.

I think the most legendary part of this box is the USB Rifter, which of course is also on my shelf.

The mystery code has made a lot of collectibles available in the game that bring back snippets of EvE’s history.
An example here of is a piece of the first titan which listens to the name Steve, the Boot.ini …..

Basically actually a good template that first needs to be caught up by the new box.

CCP now has these on sale through a partner and at what I consider a proud price. In addition, there are taxes as well as the transport costs and not to forget the customs duties. In sum, I calculate so around the 250 € for the box when everything is paid.
But what can I say, in my eyes this is worth it. The only downside is that the box is very megathron heavy.

Beside a nice model of this ship there is an art-work and an exclusive ingame skin. There is also a skin for the Stabber and Tornado. But this is not the end of the box for the Megathron. We also have an exclusive blueprint poster and another picture of the ship.

This is rounded off by the current EvE Online soundtrack and a plush pedo as a further component. And so that it’s not too boring ingame, the box comes with five SOCT ships and a blueprint of the new SOCT ship, the Metamorphosis with three runs. And I almost forgot a few implants as well as some PIN that are uninteresting to me.

But there definitely needs to be a mystery code that gives the player more items from the history of EvE’s second decade. I think that would have been a cool highlight. But maybe the key of the skins is there for that. CCP still has at least five to six months time for this…

What do you mean five to six months? Yes, seen correctly. The shipping will only be done when the production of the sold boxes is finished after the pre-order phase. Big price question now is also, probably overlooked by me, when is this over….

Then all boxes are shipped together and there we are at the next problem. The stuff is usually produced in the U.S., so I’m curious when I really hold in my hands. I’m looking forward but in any case and I think it’s worth it to buy the box, if the necessary change is of course available and you are also willing to invest this.

I have already ordered the first box and also the EvE sourcebook from CCP. One box I think I skipped, but this time I took it again.
