If there is one theme that EvE stands for, it is globalization. What other game can you imagine ad-hoc where there is only one server worldwide? I’ll leave Serenity out of it for now, since quite a few players have found a home on TQ in the meantime.
For me, EvE stands for internationalization like no other game. You notice that as soon as you log into the game. No matter what time of day you can always do something and find someone to do something with.
This is also due to the fact that your own alliance or the corp in which you are a member stretches across all possible time zones on earth. I think a globalization can not show itself more clearly.
In our fleets fly not only Germans, French, etc. we fly mostly as EU time zone and also make no distinction between countries but think here in the appropriate time zone. Many pilots from different countries united. But not only Europeans are flying here in the fleets. We fly together with Russian, American or even Chinese pilots. Countries that do not necessarily face each other positively on the world map. fly united with one goal through space and have fun together. Fighting for virtual space and influence. I think more globalization is almost impossible. EvE shows this excellently.
Of course, the individual nullspace alliances always have a certain reputation because the majority belongs to a certain nation. The Russians, the Chinese or the Americans. You can’t look at this in such a differentiated way. My corp is a member of The Army of Mango Alliance. Spontaneously shoots one in the sense, the Chinese. I also had the thought. But if you look at it more closely there are also many Russians or America in this alliance. Without globalization and also the unification and mixing of many nations across the individual time zones, alliances in nullspace in particular have no chance. The opponent would position himself accordingly in time. The players are therefore also dependent on the topic of globalization to succeed or have success because they are globally positioned.
Not only in the game we find high degree of globalization. My blog has also been caught up here by now.
In my overview I see from which countries the access and I am surprised that very many international guests visit my blog.
So far I was also purely German-language on the road, because this was also my main target group and should also be in the future.
Therefore, I decided some time ago, so to speak as a service, the blog in some areas to offer an English translation.
This is done purely on the deepl translation. At the same time, I try to take out the worst mistakes to offer readers who are English-speaking the possibility to read directly here in the blog.
So international is a very big topic in EvE and that is something that makes EvE unique.
How do you see globalization in EvE and I would be interested to know which topic you would like to see as “Topic of the Month”. Do you have any wishes?
By the way, the Stratiosskin from the last post goes to Zarah Arkaral. I would contact you ingame accordingly.
