EvE and the German-speaking community

One topic has been close to my heart for some time. Namely, the German-speaking community in EvE and their presence in the game. For me, this has always been a mystery. When you hear something, it’s usually about the very present English- or Russian-speaking community.
Why I am interested in this topic is of course in the self-interest of my blog, but there is also an interest from the community. Where and how to reach these people best is also a central question here. To increase my reach, I have also set up a Facebook page in addition to Twitter. Please leave me a follow or a like there. This helps me but only incidentally but also immensely with a view for the partner program. This would also benefit you. And the more people we have in the affiliate program the better for the german speaking community. But also support all other german speaking creators. Below you will find a corresponding access.

When I think about the German speaking community I always have a fragmentation over the whole language area. I don’t really have the feeling that there is a central overarching community here but a lot of islands or the individual German-speaking players are not interested in one at all and merge into their English-speaking community. A good way where you can see this is the german speaking subforum in the off. EvE forum. It is felt that this is used quite little. The natural view in an international game, with even only one server, would be to say that English is spoken by most and therefore all are in a community on the road.

Also in Facebook, to give an example, there are several groups. The same is true for Discord where I am currently in two purely German-speaking communities. Not included are the small subcommunities that e.g. individual streamers have. This is first and foremost nothing bad and is perfectly fine. But the large superordinate is missing. I also believe that we leave through some potential or influence also compared to CCP. In general, the German-speaking region is also represented in the partner program with very few people. Therefore, also here the call if you are German-speaking content creators here to apply actively. I have tried it again accordingly. We also want to be a voice for the German-speaking region. So we also get appropriate support for the German area and are noticed.

A community project that I like to represent is the DEUComm. Under this umbrella, some well-known German-speaking bloggers, streamers and Youtuber have come together and want to inspire this community.
In addition, there are a lot of other people who are part of this project under Otto Erich Stommller. He does a lot of magic for the community and is currently trying to re-establish closer contact with CCP. He has also set up a Discord for the German community and keeps an eye on the ongoing events from the German-speaking community. You can find the link to the Discord in my sitebar on the left. We would all be happy if you become a part of it. The more players we can unite the bigger is our voice at CCP, no matter if PVPler, PVEler, industry or trade mogul.
I think we don’t need to hide as a community and there is nothing against being a part of several.

In this sense.
