Forgive my brothers in spirit….

And we continue with the Epic Arc. I already announced in the last post that for the next two missions both the Amarr and the Ammatar await us as opponents. The Ammatar give me a home and the Amarr are my people. So there are difficult decisions to be made.

Fortunately, the third chapter of my journey begins very close to home, theoretically easing some of the logistics. But as if we need them at all. Still, the basic problem remains in that we are flying against a faction that is one of the major empires and thus relatively important. Fortunately for me, I have a relatively good standing with both of them, and besides, I’m an immortal god, what do the lesser creatures want from me anyway…. So let’s pull the stunt after all Loot and Bounty is more important….

To that I am interested, how high is the loss actually. So no pain, no gain.

First of all, of course, the question of the drones. Due to the faction, the Amarr drones are of course available in the form of the light Acolyte and the heavy Praetor drone. You can guess exactly what I don’t have with me.
Correct, exactly these two drone types. Since I’m relatively close to home again, I was able to quickly check my inventory there. Somehow I was sad afterwards. Only a few Praetors and some Acolytes, but not enough to fully equip my Isthar. So I again took the way into next TradeHub and bought a set. And since I need a Relic Analyzer for both sites I picked it up on the way back to my home station.

So equipped I went to my temporary base and to the agent. And of course, how should it be, I got at least the T1 variant. I bet here clearly, if I had not taken one with me I would have gone empty guaranteed. So this also to umfitten off in the cargo and off it goes.

And how can it be otherwise, in both target systems for the two missions there were no stations, but at least a station of another Corp was in the system and saved me in one case the system change. Better than nothing.

In contrast to the previous missions, this one took place partly in a pocket, which didn’t allow me to get to my desired distance. It should be just so and in addition to that I had to approach the acceleration gate at a certain distance to trigger the spawn of the enemy ships. So first I took my feet in my hands and thanks to my 100mm Afterburner this went quite quickly. Even if a few NPC had something against it and harassed me with their webbers. Somehow the arguments of my Acolytes were stronger and the problem took care of itself. The drones really went through the enemy forces like a hot knife through butter, and that wasn’t just because the drones were equipped with lasers.

From there the gate and on the other side also awaited me some who were not thrilled my of presence. However, I was very excited that all opponents felt this way and completely ignored my drones. Curiously, all the ships tried to take me out, but some of them didn’t make it even before they were destroyed. And who knows the mechanics of aggressively set drones knows that they only fire on opponents who still have one in the yellow box. That means they were the last ones in the pocket and I was forced to control the drones manually… Honestly, they wanted to annoy me and therefore they did not want to unlock me completely… When all the enemies were done I adjusted my fitting accordingly and lifted the object of desire with the Relic Scanner, I actually only took the T1 with me. Now I just had to go back, hand in the mission and discover the scrap collector in me and I was done here.

The second mission takes me against the Ammatar and I must admit that I forgot to take screenshots directly from the ships. I like the skins on the Amarr ships.

But this time I had again the advantage to reach the stage on my desired distance and so I aimed again my usual 100km and the MTU was again placed in space as usual.

Everything went as planned and the NPC switched me on again similar to the first MIssion. The frigates once again couldn’t wait to explode and were closing in very fast. My welcoming committee in the form of a group of acolytes quickly showed them that this was anything but a good idea. After the usual change of drones, my praetors had no problem in keeping the site quiet for good. Basically it worked quite well and due to my high speed I had no problem to determine the combat distance.

Now I had to recover the mission object, which meant changing the system once and then installing the module.
As soon as I got back, I got to work and had the feeling that I was being made fun of. After each hack a new container came in the overview that wanted my attention. After I finally finished the fourth one, this was also done and I could successfully hand in the mission. My scrap collector was now called for and how shall I say….
There were five wrecks that were at about 122 – 128km from the MTU and thus not collected.

So I had to get a little closer and eject the MTU again and wait… and wait… and wait.
It was really faster than flying there and working through them one by one, but still relatively slow.

This brings me much closer to my goal of completing the whole thing.
But we still have the question open, how much standing did the whole thing cost me and I have to say that the loss with the Amarr was ridiculous, but from the Ammatar it hurt a bit more. Was probably due to my good standing. I think they are just resentful because I live there.

Fortunately, it is now once again only against the Angel Cartel until the end.
