In the latest part of this series we come to the Minmatar, our third major faction. I also use these ships less often, as these ships are primarily designed for speed. The only ships I used were a Thrasher and a Tornado, which was used during my dark detours in the ganks. Everything else I haven’t really had in use yet. The rusty design is not trustworthy enough for me. It’s not for nothing that the Minmatar’s secret motto is “In Rust like Trust”. Still, we really like the look of these ships, especially the revisions definitely bring out a new shine and make many ships look much more stable and not so delicate and fragile anymore.
So here we go with the overview. Again, I don’t guarantee for the completeness and if I forgot a ship you are welcome to give me a hint.
But first we start with the stealth bomber, the Hound. Now you don’t search in vain for the place for the torpedoes and the bombs. It has much more substance.
But of course the command ship, in this case the Sleipnir, has also undergone a change with the complete replacement of the hull. From the Cyclone used so far, the hull was changed to the Hurricane.
Nevertheless, the T1 hulls have been customized most often. Here is the corresponding overview:
Stabber:
Patch: Retribution 1.0 (04.12.2012)
Tempest:
Patch: Retribution 1.0 (04.12.2012)
Typhoon:
Patch: Kronos 1.1 (05.06.2014)
Slasher:
Patch: YC118.8 Release (13.09.2016)
Probe:
Patch: Y118.8 Relase (13.09.2016)
Rupture:
Patch: July 2017 Release (11.07.2017)
In general, I find the new version with the much more prominent armor plates much nicer and for the future I hope to see more new designs from the Minmatar shipyards. The ships just look much more compact and thus more massive and durable than the old models.
