The first time in the new home

Slowly but surely, I am arriving in my new home. However, I still have to get used to the circumstances anew. Keep an eye on the Local and keep an eye on the Intel. At the same time, I don’t know all the system names in my pocket yet for nothing. How long ago was a Neut reported in one of the systems? Is a Neut possibly taking its way into the Pocket? Is it safe to undock now, or will the next Neut that successfully sneaked through come after me?
I haven’t been this nervous in a long time and very quickly I asked myself if this move was the right thing to do or if I just didn’t give myself enough time.

One thing is clear. I’m definitely not used to being on the road in zero anymore. So I’m left with only one option. Get damn braver. If no one has been reported in the last few minutes then no one is there. Just dock and stand next to the asteroids because with my skiffs I only need a few seconds to be in warp and therefore safe. The normal Neuts will have no interest in catching you at a station or similar. You are relatively safe and I have to keep that in mind. The Intel works and you can rely on it. Larger groups are in sight in time and even solo pilots are usually quickly reported and easy to follow.

And I realize it’s fun and also the people do me good. For years I was alone in New Eden on the road and finally with new acquaintances.

So now I’m going out into space more and more often and I’m getting braver and braver. At the moment I am mostly gold… ähh mining minerals. It is the easier form of acclimatization. Only in this way I actually manage to become more relaxed and get the security I need.

In this way I have now mined the first moon lumps or the first mercoxite in my EvE career with my three skiffs. So it’s slowly or surely getting better and I don’t see any veldspar anymore. That makes me already once very happy. The most important thing for me at the moment is that the asteroids are big enough.
So that my ships can also give each other cover so that I can also keep the Sanshas in check and process them into scrap metal with the help of the drones.
While before the size of the asteroids was the bottleneck, with the Skiff and without the hold of an Orca it is just this. That means I now have to commute more often between my base and the asteroids.
But I’m sure I can find a solution for this as well. I also brought a few Mackinaw with me. But they don’t have a good tank. Which therefore always means to take a break at the station to chase the Sansha with a ratting ship. But the breaks due to the full Cargos would be then first of all no more topic.

From the mining performance, both are optimally equipped and I believe the optimal performance will also only come into play as soon as the T2 mining crystals are available or I fully meet the requirements for this. This is still a few days away on my pilots.
The other idea is to use a small command ship like the Porpoise. This can at least hold 50,000 m³ and bring station. At the same time the use of T2 Miningdrones would be possible. I would be reluctant to boost with this ship, because otherwise I would take away the fast possibility to dock or at least support the station itself. I’m not quite sure yet what it will come down to in order to make optimal work possible. But also here I will find a way.

I must also confess that I have not pursued other activities at the moment. But this will surely follow. For now, I have my goals and I want to achieve them in a timely manner.

In that sense, I am happy to have been placed with this corp. So far I like it very much and I’m really satisfied with my life in EvE.

  1. Hiho,

    Anarchy
